Why TikTok is where you need to be as a business owner?

TikTok, that kids dancing app is where all business owners should be right now and we are going to tell you why. Tiktok is one of the fastest-growing social media platforms. And it’s a platform that was became wildly known for its over-the-top group and solo dance acts that kids flocked to see. And while the dancing still happens for business owners there is something else that is happening. It’s becoming a lead magnet.

Tiktok works differently than other social media platforms because it is very interest-based. This means that people who languished on Facebook with a feed of unrelatable high schools antics from people long out of high school have had an unmet need to find their audience and their tribe. Facebook is the juggernaut but we can all admit that the algorithm shows you what it wants and not necessarily what you want to see. The other issue with Facebook is that if you are not running ads then good luck getting even your followers to see your content.

This is where TikTok differs. There are two important factors at play. The first is the age and stage TikTok is at. Tiktok is at its high growth stage and every social media platform that is popular goes through this. At the high growth stage, they are doing two things. Adding new users every single second and pushing their new users as much content as possible to capture their attention. Their algorithm is working in rapid motion to help users find “their” side of Tiktok so that they develop a loyal customer base.

The second factor is because TikTok does not care who you know as much as Facebook & Instagram do you lose some of the associations and connections that may have been preventing you in the past from finding the content you like on social media. TikTok has everything you can think of from dogtok, booktok, realtortok, tiptok, constructiontok, vendortiktok, makersortiktok, and the list goes on and on. Furthermore, users are rushing to TikTok because it’s the opposite of Facebook which has your aunt and great grandmother typing I like this. And also it’s the opposite of Instagram which purports perfection as if your life is nothing without it.

Combine those two factors alone and you and your small business should be convinced that TikTok is where you need to be. But many still need more convincing. So let’s talk about world-renowned marketer Gary Vee who reported a concrete business getting a six figure deal from their Tiktok videos. Need more? Ever heard of Glennda Baker well she in less than a year has amassed over 600,000 followers! And who really cares about followers. What’s the bigger deal is she has positioned her brand and become the go-to blueprint for realtors looking to place their stamp and make their mark on social media. Not to mention all the buyers and sellers across the COUNTRY that seek her out. Not enough? What about the cup lady who who makes cups live and has managed to create a full time career out of her e-commerce store. Or the tax accountant who landed a brand deal with the IRS? Yes, the IRS. TikTok is a massive opportunity and there is still time to hop on this train while the momentum is building. At the very least you create an account and gather a following of 1,500 people (which is really easy by the way) and now you have 1,500 more people that know about your business who did not before.

But I don’t want to dance? We here this a hundred times a day. You DO NOT have to dance to be successful on TikTok. All of the people we mentioned do not dance. And in all honesty, you don’t want to attract the wrong crowd so it’s important you steer clear of what will only get likes and focus on what will attract your ideal client.
